Hi, my name is Kayla T. I am the author of this site. I’m 26, a wife, and a mother to a 3 year old little girl and a 9 year old stepson. I work full time and also go to school full time for my bachelors degree.
Being such a busy mom, I put my self-care on the back burner until I found Mindfulness. Mindfulness has allowed me to care for myself and be a better person for my family. I have struggled with anxiety and depression on and off throughout my life. For the most part, I dealt with it myself with some healthy habits and some not so healthy habits. I would go through periods where I would meditate a lot and periods where I just tried to bury my depression and not acknowledge it, only making it worse in the long run.
Since I’ve found Mindfulness, I’ve brought meditation back into my daily practice and I seem to really be finding myself. I’m learning about myself and learning lessons that I am finally able to learn. Now that I am in touch with my higher self, I felt I needed to share this blog to give others the tools to care for themselves as well as enjoy everyday as it comes.
I spent a lot of time thinking about tomorrow and worrying about the past that I was not enjoying the present. I honestly didn’t even realize how important it was to enjoy the present. Our lives move faster than we realize when we aren’t paying attention so I made the decision to live in the moment, enjoy the good and even the bad of each day, and just be mindful of what is going on in my life.
My intention is that this blog will inspire people to live a more mindful and happy life. The world is beautiful. Life is beautiful. Don’t let it slip by while you aren’t paying attention.
